General Overview

The smooth, hard surface of Paris paper is a convenient and economical alternative to bristol board. Brilliant white, crisp, and bleedproof, it is the ideal surface for detailed pen-and-ink illustrations rendered for reproduction with crowquill pens, broad drawing pens, copperplate calligraphy, or technical fountain pens.

This is a great paper for doing design renderings or drawings with markers. The paper accepts ink consistently for limited streaking and bleeding or blotchiness. Great for finnished, presentable renderings.

Tips, Tricks & How-Tos

Although it does not mention marker, it does work well with Prisma Color Markers when a heavier marker paper is wanted.

The front side of the paper provides crisp lines, but if you flip it over you can easily create smooth gradients and softer textures. Pastels also glide on well, just remember to use a spray fixative afterwords.

Not Recommended

Although it says "Bleedproof" in the name of the product, It does bleed through the page when using heavy marker.

Don't use this for quick sketches, it's too expensive. You're better off using printer paper.
