General Overview

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. An alloy with 70% copper and 30% zinc has a melting point of 954 C / 1749 F. Bronze that is 88% copper and 12% zinc melts at 1030 C / 1886 F. Bronze that is 90% copper and 10% zinc melts at 1044 C / 1910 F.
