Wooden clothespins are useful because they do not easily transmit heat, so their used to clip color corectors to lights or barn doors, or light fixture surfaces that are too hot to touch.

Do not use plastic or metal clothespins, as plastic clothespins melt, and metal pins transfer too much heat to touch.
