Epoxys are typically 2 part (mix them together to activate) resins. After you mix the parts together, you have a certain working time (depending on the product) before it sets.

Note: A 5min epoxy sets in 5 min, it does not fully harden in 5min. Several hours are typically needed before it is able to be used.
