General Overview
A GE design plastic, Lexan looks like Plexi and PETG but is much stronger. It is often said to be bulletproof, but this depends on the thickness and the wepon (don't try this).
It is said to be a thermoplastic, so it may be vacuum formable.
Technically it can be vacuformed when using very thin sheets, but it is nothing like PETG. Lexan is a brand name product, it is actually Polycarbonate. It is kind of like saying plexiglass, when it is actually acrylic. There are many different companies that make Polycarbonate now ever since GE lost there patent due to time. It is often cheaper to buy non branded Polycarbonate. The ideal way to form polycarbonate it by pressure forming it. Because it is molecular structure is formed in long string it is almost impossible to crack it. And yes a 1/2in. piece of Polycarbonate will stop a 125 gr. 9mm at a distance of 6 feet. Very expensive and difficult to work with, thus I think you should use something else for your project.
