Museum board is a medium to high-grade cardboard made up of plies of thinner cardboard. Many brands are made of cotton fibers. It comes in many different colors and is often used in matting and displaying photographs and other artwork.

It cuts pretty cleanly with an exacto or utility knife, but, especially with thicker board, can be difficult to cut.
