Rabbet Plane
From RISDpedia
This small handplane is an essential tool for woodworker's of all levels. Unlike most planes, where the blade fits within the body of the tool, the rabbet plane has a blade which extends fully to both sides of the body. This allows the user to remove material in a tight 90 degree corner. As the body is only 3/4" wide, you can also clean out material in wide dado cuts.
