General Overview

Essentially Methylene Chloride (also known as Plastic Weld), is a chemical that melts plastics. It is not a glue. The Weld On is in a canister with no way to apply it, so a syringe or a fine-tipped squeeze bottle must be used to do so. The Weld On evaporates extremely quickly, so you need to keep the lid on the can when not sucking it into the syringe.

Tips, Tricks & How-Tos

used as a chemical bonding agent for plastic materials (Plexiglas, PETG,Styrene etc.) Because this melts the plastic, you can take shavings from the plastic and put them into gaps you may have in your construction and then apply the Weld On. The shavings will then melt ionto place, filling the gap. The liquid may also be applied using a small watercolor brush rather than a squeeze bottle or syringe to achieve better control over the amount of liquid that is applied to any given area.

Not Recommended

Because this is a chemical bonder, it can not be used for any other substance.
